Dr David Curran

Dr. David Curran is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Mercy University Hospital, Cork. He is a graduate of University College Cork. He completed the Higher Specialist Training Programme in Respiratory Medicine in Ireland during which time he undertook a 2 year research project culminating in an MD degree. He pursued further clinical training and research at the Yale School of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine before returning to Cork to take up his current position in 2009.

His areas of clinical interest include obstructive sleep apnoea, non-invasive ventilation, asthma and COPD. He is a member of the Irish Sleep Society, European Sleep Research Society and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is currently the co-National Specialty Director for the Higher Specialist Training Programme in Respiratory Medicine.

Dr. Edmond J Donovan

Dr Edmond Donovan graduated from UCC in 1973. He currently practices out of two locations (Douglas & Camden Place). He is doctor to Cope Foundation, Eircom & An Post in Cork.

Jackie Murnane

Jackie joined AMS in January 2012. Her qualifications include a BSc in Health and Fitness, MSc in Nutritional Science and a Diploma in Medical Administration. Before Jackie joined AMS she worked in the area of research which focused on hypertension and lowering it through dietary means. She has also worked in the area of healthy eating amongst children in primary schools. Jackie is involved in many aspects of the Office Management of AMS. This includes but not limited to Finance, Statistics, Result processing/administration and Project planning & management. Jackie is also the Product Owner of the AMS Screening Software Platform, which involves identifying and prioritizing new feature development on the system.

Philip Neville

Philip joined the AMS Sales team in May 2013. Since then, he has developed and managed our club and schools screening programmes nationwide. Philip enjoys all sports and is a keen tennis player. He holds a BSc from UCC & DBS from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business.

Jenny Donovan

Jenny has a degree in Psychology & Geography from University College Cork along with a H.dip and a Master of Business degree in Management from the Smurfit School of Business.

Jenny has worked in Healthcare for over 12 years, working initially for Pfizer Healthcare as a Medical Representative specialising in the area of Respiratory and Cardiovascular health. She Joined AMS in 2014 as Relationship Manager for health screening programmes for both corporate and government agencies. She has extensive experience and proven ability in the delivery and implementation of large-scale health screening programmes nationally.

Jenny has developed great relationships with our partners, playing an important role in helping to build and empower a healthy workforce. She sets the standard for quality and delivering tailor-made health screening solutions to our corporate clients.

Jenny is passionate about Health & Wellness and brings this enthusiasm to her current role as Relationship Manager within AMS.

Seamus Tobin

Séamus is a native of Waterford and joined AMS in May 2016 as Sales Executive for the South East & Dublin regions.

Séamus previously worked in the recruitment industry for over nine years and has specialised in senior appointments within the Accountancy & Finance, HR, Healthcare and Engineering sectors. He has also managed a number of executive search assignments for national and multinational companies.

Séamus holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Waterford Institute of Technology. He has been involved in GAA as both a player and coach at local level and is passionate about player welfare and also health & wellness in the workplace.

Frank Cogan

Frank joined Advanced Medical Services (AMS) in March 2013 as Clinic Manager. He has a long relationship of working with people both in business and sport. After finishing his education in Christian Brothers College, Cork, he pursued his passion for rugby by playing professionally for 4 years. During which time he learned the importance of health and wellbeing for young sports people. Since starting with AMS he has campaigned successfully to get schools, businesses and sports clubs throughout Ireland to participate in the company’s mobile cardiac screening.

Daniel Luby

Daniel graduated with a BSc in Health Promotion and Physical Activity from Dundalk Institute of Technology in 2011, and in 2015 also graduated with an MSc in Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation from the University of Chester in England. Daniel is a sports enthusiast with Gaelic football being his main competitive sport and has represented his university and county in the past. Daniel has a keen interest in strength and conditioning and is a certified gym, group exercise and kettlebell instructor. Daniel has experience in implementing health behaviour change and physical activity intervention programmes tailored specifically for individuals and specialised groups who suffer from chronic illnesses such as cardiovascular disease, and obesity.

Bernadette Millar

Bernadette joined AMS in October 2015 having worked in the private healthcare sector for the previous 7 years in a variety of roles including managing high volume recruitment, retention and client services delivery. She holds qualifications in law from UCC and the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland and worked in both the private and public sector in that area for many years. She has a keen interest in advocacy also and holds a qualification in the area from Dublin City University. She has a strong interest in the healthcare sector and with her extensive experience feels that her skill set is complimentary to the work of AMS. Her personal focus is to make health care better.

Linda O’Donovan Pinker

Linda is a qualified nurse who specialises in Heart Failure. She obtained Bachelor of Nursing in Christchurch New Zealand in 1998. She has completed postgrad papers in Health Economics and Nursing Leadership. She has previously worked in Respiratory and Bone Marrow Transplant but mostly Cardiology. Following her return to Ireland in 2006, she worked in Cardiology however had a special interest in Heart Failure going on to obtain an MSc in Nursing (Heart Failure) in 2012.

Her role within AMS is that of a Heart Failure Nurse supporting a number of Heart Failure clinics around Munster.
