Dr Noel Fitzpatrick is currently a senior Clinical Electrophysiology Fellow at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. Following an undergraduate degree in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics at Dublin City University he completed his medical training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2011, he attained his MRCPI in 2014 and completed his cardiology specialist training in Dublin and Cork under the auspices of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. During this time, he graduated from the London School of Economics with an MSc in Health Economics, Outcomes and Management in Cardiovascular Sciences. He then spent two years completing a clinical and research electrophysiology fellowship at the Mater Private Hospital in Dublin. His research interests include how outcomes registries, and “Big Data” can be used to answer complex clinical questions in electrophysiology – such as predicting outcomes from cardioversions or catheter ablation procedures for patients with atrial fibrillation.
