Professor Maher is a Consultant Cardiologist in Tallaght Hospital & Blackrock Clinic in Dublin. He graduated from University College Galway and has been a Consultant Cardiologist in the USA and Ireland since 1994. He was the former Medical Director of the Irish Heart Foundation and President of the Irish Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation. Prof Maher was involved in setting up the FAI cardiac screening programme over 8 years ago. He is the reporting Cardiologist for AMS’s Mobile Sports Cardiac Screening Programme.
